Terms of Service
Version terms-2026-09-23-v1 · Effective September 23, 2026
Honeypaw LLC is a Wisconsin limited liability company. In these Terms, “HoneyPaw,” “we,” and “us” mean Honeypaw LLC. “You” means the adult who accepts these Terms, whether as a dog owner, authorized household member, or trainer using the application. These Terms govern access to HoneyPaw Training, our websites and related digital services. If you purchase dog training from us, the separate Training Services Agreement also applies. Our Privacy Notice explains our handling of personal information. Contact us at [email protected].
1 Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to use the account. Household access is by invitation or another process we authorize. Provide accurate registration and profile information, maintain control of your sign-in methods and devices, and notify us promptly if an account, invitation, or private content may have been misused. You may not share credentials or accept an invitation intended for someone else. Verification of a phone number or email address confirms control of that contact method; it does not establish a right to any household or dog record.
We may require a verified phone number, name, and validated address for a new account. We may refuse or suspend an account when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to protect a person, animal, record, or the service, or to comply with law. We will give notice when reasonably practicable, except when notice would undermine safety, security, or a legal obligation.
2 Households and authorized access
A household may contain multiple adults and dogs. Members of a dog's household can generally see that dog's owner-facing profile, plans, scheduled sessions, homework, practice entries, and published reports. A trainer assigned to a dog can access the information necessary to coach that dog. HoneyPaw administrators can access information needed to operate the business and service. A trainer may also keep internal notes that household members cannot view. Draft reports and internal notes are not published reports.
You are responsible for deciding whom to invite to your household and for telling us promptly when a person's access should end. A household member's earlier access to a downloaded, captured, or locally stored copy may be beyond our control. Do not place another person's contact details, likeness, voice, or private information in the service unless you have authority to do so and a training-related reason.
3 Training content and user submissions
You retain ownership of dog information, practice entries, photos, and videos that you submit, to the extent you have rights in them. You give HoneyPaw a nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for display, and make that content available to authorized household members and personnel as needed to provide, secure, support, and document the service. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for lawful retained records, copies already shared with authorized recipients, and backups awaiting routine expiry. This license does not permit public advertising or social media use of a private training recording. Separate, specific permission is required for promotional use.
You represent that you may submit the content and that doing so does not violate another person's rights or applicable law. Do not upload content unrelated to the training relationship, unlawful material, malicious files, or material that exposes a person without required permission. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or creates a credible privacy or safety risk, while preserving records when law or a dispute requires it.
4 Training information and emergencies
The application helps document training, scheduling, homework, and progress. Training recommendations are general guidance for the particular dog based on the information available to the trainer. Neither the application nor a trainer's written report is a veterinary diagnosis or emergency service. Contact a veterinarian for health concerns and appropriate emergency services when there is an immediate threat to a person or animal. You remain responsible for supervising and controlling your dog, following local rules, and using judgment before attempting an exercise.
5 Availability and electronic communications
We aim to keep the service available, but maintenance, outages, network conditions, and third-party providers can interrupt it. A locally saved draft is not a confirmed submission or appointment. A video can remain pending after text is saved. Check the application's confirmation for bookings, published reports, and submitted practice. We may update features or discontinue a feature with reasonable notice when feasible. We will not silently convert an existing purchase into a different paid service.
We may send transactional messages needed for account verification, invitations, bookings, service changes, and safety or security. A household invitation SMS may be sent to the phone number an authorized inviter provides. Message and data rates may apply. Reply to a message using any offered opt-out method or contact [email protected] to ask us to stop nonessential messages. We do not treat acceptance of these Terms as consent to marketing texts. Some account verification messages may be necessary to use phone sign-in. Our Messaging Notice gives more detail.
6 Acceptable use
You may use the service only for its intended training and household purposes. Do not attempt to access another household or dog; scrape data; bypass permissions or upload limits; interfere with the service; impersonate another person; misuse an invitation; upload malware; or use the service to harass, threaten, or violate others' privacy. The separate Acceptable Use Policy is incorporated into these Terms. Google address features are subject to Google's [Terms of Service](https://policies.google.com/terms), [Maps additional terms](https://www.google.com/help/terms_maps/), and [Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy). We may investigate apparent misuse and take proportionate steps, including limiting access and preserving evidence, subject to applicable law.
7 Fees for the application
Household access to the application is included with the training relationship unless a separate written order expressly states an application fee. Training prices, taxes, deposits, packages, and other charges are governed by the Training Services Agreement and the written order shown before purchase. We will not charge a household merely for accepting an invitation.
8 Our materials and feedback
We and our licensors own the application, design, software, exercise library, and instructional materials, excluding your content. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable right to use them for the training relationship while your account is authorized. You may not resell or publish those materials without our written permission. If you send suggestions, we may use them without compensation, but this does not transfer ownership of your private submissions or authorize public use of a training video.
9 Suspension and termination
You may stop using the application and request closure at [email protected]. We may suspend or end access for material violations, nonpayment under an applicable written order, safety concerns, or discontinuation of the service. We will provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve a remediable issue when circumstances allow. Ending application access does not erase charges already incurred or remove records we must retain. The Privacy Notice explains requests for copies, correction, and deletion. Any unused prepaid training is handled under the Training Services Agreement, regardless of account status.
10 Warranties and responsibility
We provide the digital service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, a particular training outcome, or that every third-party network or device will work. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our responsibility for in-person training, including any injury or property damage, is governed by the Training Services Agreement and applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, HoneyPaw is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from use of the digital service when those losses were not reasonably foreseeable to both parties. This limitation does not apply to bodily injury, death, fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, violation of privacy or data protection law, or liability that law does not permit us to limit. For other claims arising solely from the digital service, HoneyPaw's total liability will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid HoneyPaw for the digital service in the 12 months before the event.
11 Disputes and applicable law
Before filing a claim, either party may email the other at the contact address available to them and describe the problem and requested resolution. The parties will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. This process does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using a legally protected remedy. Wisconsin law governs these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence. Claims may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction; these Terms do not impose arbitration or waive a jury trial.
12 Changes and general terms
We may change these Terms prospectively. We will identify the effective date and give notice of material changes. When our application requires a new acceptance, continued access will require an affirmative acceptance of the new version. Changes do not retroactively alter a paid booking already confirmed unless you agree or law requires it. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect to the extent it can operate. Our failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms as part of a lawful business transfer, with appropriate notice and privacy protections. You may not transfer your account to another person. These Terms, the Training Services Agreement for purchases, the Privacy Notice, and the policies expressly incorporated here are the complete agreement for their stated subjects; a signed or confirmed order controls its specific price and schedule.
