Privacy Notice
Version privacy-2026-09-23-v1 · Effective September 23, 2026
Honeypaw LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company, operates HoneyPaw Training and provides dog training. This notice describes personal information we collect through our website, invitation and account process, training services, application, and related communications. It applies to adults who use or are invited to use the service, and to people who contact us. It also explains how to make a privacy request. Contact [email protected].
1 Information we collect
We receive information you give us: name, verified phone number and email address, postal address, household and dog details, emergency or safety information you choose to provide, booking and payment records, support messages, training goals, homework and practice entries, photos, and videos or audio. A trainer may create session notes, staff observations, results, and published reports. Recordings can incidentally include a person's image, voice, or parts of a private location. Please avoid supplying unrelated sensitive information. The application is intended for adults at least 18 years old.
We also receive identity and verification status from Clerk; invitation delivery status from Twilio or another configured messaging provider; payment status from the checkout provider chosen for an order; and address suggestions or validation results from Google when you use the profile address flow. We may receive information from a household inviter or trainer, including a name, phone number, dog, and scheduling or safety details. The Google address flow sends the address entered for validation to Google and stores the user-reviewed address and limited validation metadata. Google's [Terms of Service](https://policies.google.com/terms), [Maps additional terms](https://www.google.com/help/terms_maps/), and [Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) apply to Google features and content.
Our systems and providers generate technical information such as sign-in events, IP address, device and browser details, access and security logs, error records, media-processing status, and message delivery information. The application may store account-scoped drafts and upload-recovery metadata in your browser so an interrupted edit can be resumed. That browser storage is not encrypted against someone with access to your browser profile or device. It is not a guaranteed backup; clearing site data or storage eviction may erase it. Video files are not stored in that draft system for offline playback.
2 Why we use information
We use information to verify and administer accounts; validate contact and address details; invite and authorize household members; schedule, deliver, document, and charge for training; create plans and reports; receive practice entries; process private media; answer requests; protect people, dogs, accounts, and systems; detect errors and misuse; keep financial and legal records; and comply with law. We may use aggregate or deidentified information to understand and improve service quality if it cannot reasonably identify a person. We do not use private training recordings in public promotion without separate permission.
3 How we share information
Members of an authorized household can view that household's owner-facing dog and training information, including selected published videos and the identity of a member who completes practice. Assigned trainers can access the dog's information needed for coaching. HoneyPaw administrators and authorized support personnel can access information needed for their work. Internal trainer notes are not displayed as owner-facing published reports. A person's access may change when household membership or coach assignment changes; copies that a prior authorized recipient already made may remain outside the application.
Service providers process information for us under their applicable agreements: Clerk for identity; Cloudflare for hosting, database, storage, and private video delivery; Twilio or a configured alternative for invitations; Google for address assistance and validation; and the payment processor identified at checkout for charges and refunds. We share the information needed for each function, subject to the provider's role. We may also share information with legal, accounting, insurance, or security advisers when needed; with authorities when legally required; to protect rights or safety; or in a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4 Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the training relationship, documentation, safety, disputes, security, accounting, and legal obligations. We do not currently have an automatic deletion period for training history, ready videos, published report revisions, or provider copies. Financial, consent, safety, and dispute records may need to be kept longer after a training relationship ends. Deletion from backups may occur later than deletion from active systems.
You may ask for access, a copy, correction, or deletion by emailing [email protected]. We will verify the requester and the scope of the request, review any other household member's rights, identify legal or safety reasons for retaining particular records, and explain what we can do. Removing a video from current access may be possible before deletion from every active system or backup. We will follow applicable statutory response periods. We will not treat a request as permission to delete another person's independent record or a required financial, incident, or consent record.
5 Privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live and which law applies to Honeypaw LLC, you may have rights to know or access information, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, or object to certain uses. You may also be able to appeal a denied request or use an authorized agent. Send a request to [email protected]; we will respond under applicable law and explain any permitted exception. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a legal privacy right. You may decline optional recording and promotional use without losing ordinary training. You can ask us to stop nonessential texts and can manage browser storage through your device.
6 Security and incident response
We use account verification, role-based permissions, private media authorization, access logs, and appropriate provider controls to reduce unauthorized access. No online system is perfectly secure. Protect your device and sign-in methods and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We will investigate a security incident and notify affected people and regulators when required by applicable law.
7 Children and bystanders
Children may not create accounts. A session or user-submitted recording should avoid capturing a child or unrelated bystander unless the required parent, guardian, or individual permission has been obtained. Contact us if you believe we hold a child's information or a recording of someone who did not authorize it. We will review and respond, including restricting access when appropriate. The service is not directed to children under 13.
8 International use and changes
The service is operated from the United States. Providers may process information in other jurisdictions. If we expand to other countries, we will review applicable transfer, notice, and consent rules before offering the service there. We may update this notice and will provide notice of material changes. Acceptance of revised customer terms will be recorded separately when required. For questions or requests, email [email protected].
